Presenter:Bhante/Chipamong  is the self-defined nomad monk. He is a Theravada Buddhist monk, storyteller, and contemplative teacher. He teaches at the Chautauqua Institution NY. He is the board director of the HDHS network and co-editor of the book: Human Dignity: Practices, Discourses, and Transformations. His essays and reviews have appeared in the Harvard Divinity Bulletin, Journal of Contemporary Buddhism, Buddhist Studies Reviews, and Journal of Religion and Popular Culture, among other publications. Originally from Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh, and now he lives in Washington DC and NY. He has studied at the Naropa University, Colorado, University of Toronto and was a fellow at the center of justice at Columbia University NY. Now, he is a youtuber monk where he shares nomad mindfulness

Description: Myanmar is becoming a completely failed state. With the economy decreasing so rapidly, the GDP cannot even be accurately measured. We, the people of Myanmar, are losing our human rights. We are losing our freedom and our safety because of the military junta. However, we, Myanmar citizens, have not given up. Along with the National Unity Government, with armed ethnic groups, and with other ethnic organizations, we are still fighting to get our freedom back, and we will build our nation back again. With this presentation we want to raise awareness about the true situation in our country.

概要：

ミャンマーは完全に破綻した国家になりつつある。経済が急速に衰退し、GDPすら正確に測れない状態です。私たちミャンマーの人たちは、人権を失いつつあります。軍事政権のせいで、自由も安全も失いつつあります。しかし、私たちミャンマー国民は、あきらめてはいません。国民統合政府とともに、武装民族グループとともに、他の民族組織とともに、私たちは自由を取り戻すために今も戦っています。そして、私たちは再び国を築き上げるのです。今回のプレゼンテーションで、我が国の実情についての理解を深めたいと思います。

Presenters:

Kyawt Kyawt Khine (Kai) is a graduate of Yangon University and was an elementary school teacher for 10 years in Myanmar. She came to Japan on a Ministry of Education scholarship where she worked at Tohoku University and Miyagi Education University. She has a Masters of Education from the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa, and she is currently the head of the Royal Myanmar Restaurant in Naha, Okinawa.

Kyawt Kyawt Khine（チョチョカイ）さんはヤンゴン大学卒業後、ミャンマーで10年間小学校の教師を務める。文部省の奨学生として来日し、東北大学と宮城教育大学に勤務。沖縄の琉球大学で教育学の修士号を取得し、現在は沖縄の那覇にあるロイヤルミャンマーレストランの代表を務めています。

Min Thein Kyaw has a B.A. from the University of Foreign Languages Mandalay, and is currently a 4^th-year student at Otemae University majoring in International Relations.

Min Thein Kyaw（ミンテインキョー）さんはマンダレー外国語大学で学士号を取得し、現在大手前大学4年生で国際関係論を専攻しています。

Lin Myat was a 3^rd-year student in Mechanical Engineering in Myanmar, but he had to stop his education because of the military coup.

Lin Myat (リンミャ)さんは、ミャンマーで機械工学の3年生でしたが、軍事クーデターにより学業を中断しなければなりませんでした。

Description: Teachers tend to have an image of their students that is fairly stable, since their experience with them is limited to the classroom. It sometimes happens, though, that instructors gain a different view when they see them during a club activity, at the school fair, or at other off-campus events. Oftentimes these students show a different side of themselves that is surprising. This presentation is an opportunity to see two students whose identity is not simply one of a student.

概要：教師は、生徒と接する機会が教室内に限られているため、生徒に対してかなり安定したイメージを持つ傾向があります。しかし、部活動や学校説明会など、学外のイベントで生徒を見たとき、教師が違った見方をすることがあります。そして、そのような学生たちが、普段とは違う意外な一面を見せてくれることもあります。今回の発表では、単に学生というアイデンティティだけではない2人の学生を見ることができる機会となっています。藤林篤史さんは17歳でヒッチハイクで日本縦断、18歳でLAからNYまでヒッチハイク、19歳で世界一周を始めました。秋田琉成さんは、高校生からイベント運営の仕事を始め、自分でビジネスを始めるために十分な知識を身につけていきました。CFO（最高財務責任者）を経て、現在はCEO（最高経営責任者）を務めています。彼は大学での勉強と経営を両立させているのです。このような素晴らしい学生たちについてもっと知るために一緒に参加して下さい。

Atsushi Fujibayashi hitchhiked across Japan at age 17; then hitchhiked from LA to NY at age 18, and began his world travels at age 19.

Ryusei Akita began to work at event management as a student, and he learned enough to start his own business. He has had the position of CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and now as the CEO (Chief Executive Officer). He has learned to juggle his university studies with running his own business. Join us to learn more about these amazing students.
